Flora, Closer

Thanks to our garden, I have many more flora photographs from the US than I do from the UK, which is always dependent on when we go and how much time we have. Having said that, our garden isn't the only place for me to find interesting flora; not necessarily the "simple" flowers and leaves, but shapes and colors and patterns.

  • Prairie up close
  • Reeds log amongst the lilies at Gallup Park
  • Resting in the winter sun
  • Grasses fall
  • Blood leaves crystals
  • Lunch is ready
  • No wolves here, but lots of berries

  • Late snow proved too much for magnolia blossom
  • A wall of prickly pear
  • It must take years to be so convoluted
  • Spring in the ranks

  • Lilies piling up around the singular flower
  • Shine a peach
  • Leave them for the birds
  • Crocuses light up the tree
  • Before you go to the compost pile
